This one is for you honey!

For years I have talked about starting a blog. I enjoy writing but I haven’t written in a long time. When I was younger I would come up with my own stories and I would have pages upon pages of silliness. Then I grew up and became distracted. Life took over and I sat it down. Now as an adult it’s not as much silliness (unless it’s something one of my kids has done) but more so life and God that I like to write about. I’ve been told by many that it’s a gift. It’s one of those things I just do and it comes naturally but then to others it’s more than that. With it being something that just flows, I struggle believing it’s a gift and something God could use.

My husband has always encouraged me to use this gift that God has given me. I’ve always been scared though. Of other people’s judgement. Not keeping up with what the world says we’re suppose to do with this kind of thing. What if I say the wrong thing? All these things probably will happen at some point. But what if I get to Heaven and God asks me, “Why didn’t you use a gift I gave you to point others to me?” Now that is a much greater fear of mine than anything else. My heart’s desire for when I see God is for Him to look at me and say, “Well done my child.” Oh those sweet, sweet words coming from my Father’s mouth would be the most wonderful thing to ever experience.

Back to my husband though. He’s always supported me with all my wild ideas and some of those I hope to share on here some day. He’s tried to get me to find something for myself, something for me to enjoy that’s just mine. More and more he encourages and pushes me to write and to do something in the homeschool area.

Well honey, this one is for you. The first one! I’m doing it. Thank you for always supporting me, encouraging me, putting up with me, loving me endlessly, and walking the tightrope with me! I love you always and forever!
